And the leader of AI Chatbots at the end of the year is?
I’m convinced there isn’t a quiet day in AI news and developments.
I was planning on sharing a ChatGPT prompting tip/tutorial today, but new developments (aka Midjourney rating party) took over. I will share it on Friday.
Let’s get to it.
THE MOST POPULAR AI CHATBOTS OF 2023
No surprise, ChatGPT is leading the AI Chatbot race by a LOT! Bard, Character AI, Perplexity, and Claude are in the mix.

MICROSOFT
You can now create songs with Microsoft Copilot and Suno, an AI music generator. Simply prompt a sentence or two of text about what type of music you’d like Suno to create.
How to:
Open Microsoft Edge
GO to copilot.microsoft.com and sign in to your Microsoft account.
Click the Plugins and enable the Suno plugin.
Ask Copilot to create a song for you, e.g. “Create a pop song about adventures with your family.”
Generative AI in the music market was valued at 294 million dollars in 2023, and it’s expected to reach 2660 million by 2032.
MIDJOURNEY
Midjourney is getting so close to the v6 release! Rating party number 2 just commenced. If you are a Midjourney user, you can rate image pairs to help by rating images. Let’s go.

GOOGLE
Google introduced VideoPoet - an LLM for zero-shot video generation.
It’s capable of text-to-video, image-to-video, video stylization, inpainting, outpainting, camera motion, and video-to-audio.
OPENAI
OpenAI announced that they are adopting their new Preparedness Framework. “It describes OpenAI’s processes to track, evaluate, forecast, and protect against catastrophic risks posed by increasingly powerful models”.
OpenAI has several safety teams to make sure their AI models are safe

They will also have a dedicated team to inform OpenAI’s decision-making. “While Leadership is the decision-maker, the Board of Directors holds the right to reverse decisions.”

Meanwhile…
A new study found that AI-powered bots are better - faster and more accurate - at solving CAPTCHA’s than humans. I’m not surprised. I can never figure out how many of the images have buses or traffic lights. 😂
That is it for today’s AI news roundup.
I will leave you with a sneak peek from my massive end-of-2023 Midjourney prompt study. Work in progress. I call it ‘Finnish women’. I’ve created over 1000 images so far. I hope I can tie it all together soon...
All the prompts have “Finnish woman, pale, blonde hair and blue eyes.” Then it’s a matter of running numerous variations with style tuner, chaos, style, weird… basically everything I can think of.

See you Friday,
Alie
