While Midjourney is cooking their version 6, which is taking its time, others are shipping. Today, we have an announcement from Open AI - and things are getting interesting.

First things first.

09.20.23 Office Hours

Again, there were no major announcements from Midjourney office hours today.

That is, no imminent releases of v5.3 or v6 or Phase 1 of the standalone website.

There was more talk about 3D today, and there seems to be a possibility that it will be ready to ship between v6 and v7 - maybe within six months.

Dalle-3 is coming! Very soon. It will start rolling out in October for ChatGPT Plus users, and it looks really promising. You can generate images within ChatGPT!

If you were on X today, you probably saw a ton of posts about this. Here is a post of their demo in case you missed it.

I can’t wait to test it when it’s available.

Printing Techniques

I’m working on tips you can use to spice up our Midjourney images.

Here are eight styles that generate fairly similar results (depending on your subject and other parameters).

I personally use Risograph - a lot.

*specify colors; otherwise, the image will be pretty dark and monochrome.
